Kerala Shines in Ease of Doing Business Reforms with Top Achiever Status
Kerala has been awarded for its excellence in business reforms by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan credited the state’s investment-friendly ecosystem and entrepreneurs' confidence for the achievement. Kerala has topped in nine reform areas, significantly climbing from its previous ranks.

Just a day after Kerala received accolades for its ease of doing business reforms from the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan credited the state's investment-friendly atmosphere and the growing confidence of entrepreneurs for this honor.
Kerala achieved the top position in the Union Ministry's ranking, being recognized as a top achiever in nine sectors, Vijayan announced on Friday.
'Proud that Kerala has come first in Ease of Doing Business reforms in the country, with Top Achiever status in 9 reform areas! Our investment-friendly ecosystem and entrepreneurs' growing confidence in Kerala's potential has truly been captured. This is a time like no other to invest in and grow from #Kerala,' Vijayan posted on 'X'.
The chief minister noted that the state moved up from the 28th position in 2021 to first place this year, having reached the 15th spot in 2022.
Industries Minister P. Rajeeve highlighted that Kerala secured top achiever status in nine out of 30 reform areas, surpassing Andhra Pradesh, which ranked second with five categories.
Kerala has established itself as the national leader in two business-centric reforms and seven citizen-centric reforms in the Union Ministry's rankings.
