Tripura's Unemployment Debate: 20,000 Jobs Filled, More to Come

Tripura Labour Minister Tinku Roy revealed on Thursday that 20,000 individuals have been hired across various government departments in the last three years.
Addressing a discussion on unemployment led by Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, the minister stated that the hirings span multiple categories including regular scale, contractual, and fixed pay employment within the government sector.
Roy also announced plans to recruit an additional 20,000 people, noting a drop in registered unemployed youths from 7,41,305 in March 2018 to 3,09,882 by March 2024.
