In a significant boost to India's economic landscape, top Singaporean companies from various sectors have pledged investments exceeding Rs 5 lakh crore (approximately USD 60 billion). The announcement came during a high-profile roundtable discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.

The event saw the active participation of Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Gan Kim Yong and Minister for Home Affairs and Law K Shanmugam. PM Modi extended his gratitude for the continued investments from Singapore and emphasized the vital role these contributions play in fortifying bilateral relations.

To streamline further collaborations, PM Modi revealed plans to establish an INVEST INDIA office in Singapore. He affirmed that the evolution of India-Singapore relations into a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership would significantly enhance economic ties. Highlighting India's rapid progress, Modi cited the nation's political stability, economic reforms, and substantial market potential, projecting India as a key contributor to global economic growth.
