Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the significant advancements made by Indian Railways in addressing long-standing issues and emphasizing its commitment to ensuring comfortable travel for everyone. This announcement was made during a virtual event where Modi flagged off three new Vande Bharat Express trains connecting Meerut with Lucknow, Madurai with Bengaluru, and Chennai with Nagercoil.

In his speech, Modi asserted that the nation is moving towards the goal of Viksit Bharat through the modernization and expansion of the Vande Bharat trains. He highlighted that more than Rs 2.5 lakh crore has been allocated to the railways in this year's budget, with a special focus on upgrading rail infrastructure with high-tech services.

The Prime Minister also pointed out that southern states, which are rich in talent and resources, are vital for achieving Viksit Bharat. He reiterated that the government prioritized the development of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, demonstrating their commitment through significantly increased budget allocations over the years.
