Amsterdam's Schipol Airport, one of Europe's primary aviation hubs, announced on Friday a historic investment plan tantamount to 6 billion euros ($6.65 billion) by the year 2029.
This initiative extends a prior investment of 3 billion euros planned for 2024-2027, with large portions of the renovation and maintenance efforts continuing beyond this period.
'Our infrastructure forms the basis of the services we offer, but it currently falls short of the standards we aim to provide to our passengers in the Netherlands,' stated Schipol CEO Pieter van Oord. ($1 = 0.9028 euros)
