British luxury carmaker Aston Martin is poised to expand its footprint in the Indian market, focusing on growing demand emerging even from Tier II and III cities, a senior company official disclosed.

Recently, the company launched its new Vantage model in India, priced at Rs 3.99 crore, with plans to continue introducing models simultaneously with their global debuts.

"India is a very important and promising market. That's why all globally available models are launched here as well," said Anand, Vice President of Operations at Aston Martin New Delhi, during the launch event.

He noted, "Next week, we're unveiling our V12 flagship globally on September 2, and it will be immediately available in India for the first time."

Sales of Aston Martin, which range between Rs 3.99 crore and Rs 4.99 crore, are growing upwards of 90% over last year's numbers in the Indian market, driven by significant growth in the super luxury segment.

The company plans to open a new showroom in Bangalore by the end of next year, adding to its existing location in Delhi. "We're getting beautiful traction from Tier II and III cities, especially the southern market, which is growing faster than the North," Anand added.

Explaining the growth, Anand said the Indian automotive market and economy have seen significant changes post-COVID, with a shift towards the super luxury segment, leading to more aggressive competition and discerning customers.
