The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved three railway projects valued at Rs 6,456 crore, the Ministry of Railways announced.

These projects are aimed at enhancing logistical efficiency, increasing line capacity, and improving transportation networks. They will streamline supply chains and foster economic growth, the ministry highlighted.

A result of the PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan for multi-modal connectivity, these initiatives will provide seamless connectivity and are expected to add approximately 300 kms to the Indian Railways network, benefiting around 1,300 villages and a population of 19 lakh.
