In a divided world, the International Youth Day conference in Iraq was a powerful reminder that peace is possible, especially when the youth are at the forefront. Held over two days and graced by His Excellency Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, Minister of Youth and Sport, the event brought together a multitude of voices advocating for hope and resilience.

Key focus areas such as peace, security, and climate change were addressed. The Art of Living, represented by Prasana Prabhu, Chairman of Social Projects, made significant contributions. His presentation on the organisation's global efforts in peacebuilding, environmental restoration, water sustainability, renewable energy, waste management, and social welfare provided an essential perspective.

The conference opened with a session titled 'The Role of Youth in Promoting Peace and Security in Local Communities,' where young Iraqis shared their stories of becoming pillars of peace despite experiencing turbulence. Dr. Abdullah Al-Kamil highlighted the grave impact of climate change on reproductive health. The discussions also showcased how young innovators use technology to enhance environmental awareness, turning potential divides into unifying forces for change.

Adding to the dynamic discussions, Prasana Prabhu's address on behalf of The Art of Living emphasized guided actions and inner transformation. The organisation, led by the esteemed spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, believes that peace begins within and extends outward. Through global initiatives, The Art of Living promotes harmony, environmental stability, and community empowerment, particularly in regions with scarce resources.

The Iraq conference underscored the need for global cooperation. With presentations reaffirming the impact of organisations like The Art of Living, participants were left with actionable recommendations and a renewed sense of purpose. Together, they are shaping a future where peace, sustainability, and cooperation become shared realities.
