Om Logistics has announced the acquisition of the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Bawal, Haryana, for a substantial Rs 110 crore. The takeover is expected to bolster the company's pan-India operations, reduce average transit times, and optimize supply chain management.
ICD Bawal, strategically positioned on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and within the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation estate, spans 20 acres. The multi-modal facility boasts automated rail lines, a 30,000 sq ft custom bonded warehouse, and the capacity to handle 5,000 containers of EXIM cargo monthly.
The acquisition solidifies Om Logistics' stature in the logistics sector by leveraging Bawal's connectivity to major ports like Mundra, Pipavav, and JNPT, as well as its proximity to Indira Gandhi International Airport. The depot's location near NH48 and NH71 further ensures seamless road and rail cargo movement.
