The bodies of trainee pilot Shubhrodeep Dutta and his instructor Captain Jeet Satru Anand, who were aboard the missing Cessna 152, were recovered from the Chandil dam, officials stated Thursday.

The aircraft disappeared after taking off from Jamshedpur's Sonari aerodrome Tuesday morning, prompting a massive search operation including the Indian Navy. Despite challenging weather conditions, the effort culminated in the tragic discovery.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched a probe into the incident, while Alchemist Aviation, the aircraft's operator, emphasized the aircraft's airworthiness and the presence of sufficient fuel. The crash's cause remains unidentified as investigations continue.
