The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and Delhi Metro have inked an MoU to roll out an integrated QR-ticketing system, it was announced on Wednesday. This innovative move will let passengers book QR code tickets for both Namo Bharat and Delhi Metro using a unified platform, aligning with the 'One India - One Ticket' initiative.

This collaboration ensures passengers can secure a Delhi Metro ticket while booking a Namo Bharat train ride via the RRTS Connect app, and vice versa through the DMRC mobile app. The resulting unique QR codes will streamline travel, reduce station queue times, and promote digital and eco-friendly transactions.

Consistent with the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan's goal of integrated transport, the move enhances connectivity across Delhi-NCR. The existing 42 km RRTS corridor, connected to the 393 km DMRC network, will eventually enable faster travel times within the region, promoting public transportation use and the sustainability of major infrastructure projects.
