Yuchai Power System (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Yuchai's first overseas factory, opened to great anticipation on August 20 in Samut Prakan. This event signifies a major step in Yuchai's globalization strategy, highlighting its ambitious plans for growth in overseas markets, particularly Southeast Asia.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior Yuchai leaders, representatives from the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, and various key partners and guests. The factory will produce diesel, gas, and clean-energy engines, starting with the K08, S06, and S04 series, and eventually expanding to the Yuchai 2-11L series.
Yuchai, historically a pioneer in engine exports since the 1970s, has significantly increased its exports to ASEAN countries in recent years. The Thailand factory will serve as a crucial pivot point for Yuchai's global expansion, aiming to boost product competitiveness and market share in Southeast Asia. This strategic move is expected to lay a solid foundation for Yuchai's future global business growth, supported by ongoing partnerships and future projects.
