Divers continued their search on Wednesday for survivors after British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch's yacht sank off Sicily's coast two days ago. Hopes were fading for finding the six missing individuals alive.

The British-flagged yacht, Bayesian, was 56 meters long and anchored off Porticello near Palermo when it capsized during a fierce storm on Monday. Of the 22 people aboard, 15 survived, one body was recovered, and six remain unaccounted for, including Lynch, his 18-year-old daughter, and Jonathan Bloomer, a non-executive chairman at Morgan Stanley International.

The fire department resumed underwater inspections early on Wednesday, citing the complexity of the operation. The yacht lay sideways at a depth of 50 meters, giving divers limited time for inspection due to very tight spaces inside the wreck. Lynch, known for building the UK's largest software firm, Autonomy, was recently acquitted of fraud when a deal with HP unraveled. Other missing passengers include Bloomer's wife Judy, and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife, Neda.
