The 19th CII India-Africa Business Conclave in New Delhi was marked by significant discussions on fostering enhanced collaboration between India and Africa. The event featured addresses from the Vice Presidents of Gambia, Liberia, and Zimbabwe, emphasizing the need for strategic partnerships to tackle global challenges.
Gambia's Vice President Muhammad Bs Jallow congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his re-election and stressed the importance of collaboration in addressing issues like climate change, technological disruption, and inclusive development. Jallow also highlighted Gambia's commitment to exploring key initiatives and innovative solutions that promote economic growth and youth empowerment.
Vice Presidents Jeremiah Kpan Koung of Liberia and CGDN Chiwenge of Zimbabwe echoed similar sentiments. Koung praised India's rich history and contributions to global politics, economy, and security, while Chiwenge called for solidarity and collective action to address critical areas such as financing, infrastructure, and technology. The conclave underscored the potential for deepened India-Africa cooperation to achieve sustainable economic development.
