Modulus Alternatives, a leading alternative asset manager in the private credit market, has announced the appointment of Alok Agarwal and Raman Uberoi to its board of directors. Agarwal, former CFO of Reliance Industries, joins as a Non-Executive Director, while Uberoi, a Senior Advisor in Government & Regulatory Relations, becomes an Independent Director.
The appointments come as Modulus Alternatives seeks to expand its market presence and innovate its product offerings. Already a pioneer in India's private credit sector, the new board members are expected to provide critical strategic insights. Their addition reflects the company's commitment to maintaining its leadership and creating significant value for stakeholders. Notably, Vinod Rai, the former Comptroller and Auditor General of India, remains the Chairman of the board.
Founded in 2018, Modulus Alternatives has since invested Rs 2,380 crore across 20 investments, successfully exiting 13. The firm's Fund I has been consistently delivering strong returns since 2019, and Fund II has already deployed Rs 591 crore across five investments. The firm's performance has earned it a 4th place ranking in the FY23/24 Reorg Report for Indian Private Credit asset managers.
