Page Industries Reports Q1 Profit Surge with Strong Sales Volume
Page Industries Ltd reported a 4.33% rise in net profit for Q1 2024, thanks to higher sales volume and robust operating margins. The company saw its revenue increase by 4% from the previous year and noted expanded digital transformation initiatives. Shares were down 1.49% on the BSE.
Page Industries Ltd, an apparel manufacturer, announced a 4.33% rise in net profit to Rs 165.22 crore for the first quarter of 2024, driven by increased sales volume and strong operating margins.
The firm's net profit for the same period last year was Rs 158.35 crore. Revenue from operations climbed 4% to Rs 1,277.51 crore, compared to Rs 1,229.07 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Despite higher expenses, which rose 4.26% to Rs 1,067.95 crore, Managing Director V S Ganesh highlighted the company's ongoing digital transformation initiatives, which have bolstered consumer engagement and e-commerce growth. He expressed optimism about future demand and the firm's readiness to meet it. Shares ended 1.49% lower on the BSE at Rs 37,658.90.
