Chennai-based Kaushalya Logistics on Monday announced the launch of a new vertical in freight forwarding under full truck-load services, alongside a new depot in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.

The new cement depot, operational from August 1, will enhance the company's logistics services for Adani Cement, covering rake point operations, depot management, and secondary transportation, Kaushalya Logistics stated.

This depot is set to handle approximately 120,000 metric tons of cement annually, supporting brands like ACC and Ambuja Cement, significantly broadening KLL's service capabilities.

According to the company, the depot will oversee the entire logistics chain—from rail movement to depot operations and transportation to secondary distribution points—streamlining the supply chain and boosting efficiency.

''Our collaboration with Adani Cement showcases our cement logistics capabilities. Our entry into the freight forwarding market marks a pivotal step in our growth strategy,'' said Uddhav Poddar, Managing Director of Kaushalya Logistics Limited.

Regarding their new freight vertical, Kaushalya Logistics has commenced operations with two key clients since August 3 and is actively pursuing opportunities with other potential customers to expand its footprint in the freight forwarding sector.
