Motherson Sumi Wiring India's Impressive Q1 with 21% Profit Boost
Auto components maker Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd reported a 21% increase in net profit to Rs 148.87 crore for the June quarter of FY25, driven by robust revenue growth. Total revenue rose to Rs 2,184.84 crore, while total expenses increased to Rs 1,991.46 crore, showcasing resilience amid higher raw material prices.
Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd, a notable auto components manufacturer, reported a 21% increase in net profit to Rs 148.87 crore for Q1 FY25, bolstered by strong revenue growth.
For the same period last year, the company had logged a net profit of Rs 123.13 crore. The company's total revenue from operations rose to Rs 2,184.84 crore from Rs 1,871.84 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Despite facing higher total expenses at Rs 1,991.46 crore compared to Rs 1,706.25 crore a year ago, the company's growth was supported by increased volumes and content, driven by automotive megatrends. Chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal stated that the company remains committed to industry trends, maintaining resilience through operational efficiencies.
