Adani Group Eyes Investment in Vietnamese Airports
India's Adani Group is considering investments in two Vietnamese airports, Long Thanh and Chu Lai. This follows a meeting between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Adani Group head Gautam Adani. The group had previously announced major investments in Vietnam's seaport and renewable energy sectors.
India's Adani Group is reportedly eyeing investments in two major Vietnamese airports, Long Thanh and Chu Lai, according to the Vietnamese government. The announcement came on Wednesday, following a meeting between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Gautam Adani, head of Adani Group, in Delhi.
The Vietnamese government stated that Adani is planning to enhance cooperation with Vietnamese partners in the aviation and logistics sectors through these investments. However, specifics regarding the investment amount and time frame were not disclosed.
The move comes after Karan Adani, son of Gautam Adani, revealed plans last year to invest up to $3 billion in seaports and renewable energy projects in Vietnam, with a potential to increase the investment to $10 billion in the long term.
