Cochin Shipyard Delivers 15th Electric Hybrid Water Metro Ferry

Cochin Shipyard Limited has delivered its 15th electric hybrid Water Metro Ferry to Kochi Water Metro. This state-of-the-art vessel, with a capacity of 100 people, aims to modernize water transportation in Kochi by providing an eco-friendly and efficient option, contributing significantly to sustainable development.

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) delivered the 15th electric hybrid Water Metro Ferry to Kochi Water Metro on Saturday.

The handover was formalized in a protocol signed by CSL's Chief General Manager Harikrishnan S and KMRL's Chief General Manager Shaji P Jananardhanan at an event held at the shipyard.

In a release, CSL noted that both organizations worked closely to ensure the project's successful completion, which is aimed at modernizing and promoting sustainable water transportation in Kochi.

The Electric Hybrid Water Metro Ferry 'BY 126' has a capacity of 100 passengers and offers an efficient, eco-friendly, and convenient transportation option for both residents and visitors. The ferry is equipped with electric hybrid technology that minimizes emissions and reduces environmental impact.
