A bus carrying Inditex workers crashed on Tuesday, coming to a halt in an almost vertical position at the exit of a tunnel in Pineda de Mar, 75 miles from Barcelona. The accident injured dozens, leaving three in critical condition, according to authorities. The bus was traveling between Barcelona and Tordera in Spain's northeastern region of Catalonia, where the Zara fashion brand's owner, Inditex, has a plant, confirmed Xavier Amor, the mayor of Pineda de Mar, to national broadcaster TVE. There were 52 people on board.

Three critically injured passengers were airlifted to hospitals, while dozens more were treated on-site or transferred to nearby health centers in less severe conditions. No information on the cause of the crash has been released. Inditex declined to comment, referring inquiries to emergency services.

Traffic authorities have advised drivers to avoid the area, as removing the bus is expected to take several hours.
