More than two dozen passengers were injured, four critically, after a bus fell off a bridge near Har ki Pauri in Uttarakhand's Haridwar city on Sunday, police reported. The injured were rushed to Haridwar district hospital, informed Rodi Belwala police post in-charge Yashveer Singh.

The critically injured passengers are under close medical supervision. The vehicle, from the UPSRTC's Moradabad depot, plunged over the bridge, damaging several parked cars in the Deendayal parking area. Immediate rescue operations were launched as soon as authorities were notified.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
