Union minister Jitendra Singh has highlighted the growing significance of start-ups as new avenues for self-employment and sustainable livelihood. Addressing a public meeting and review session in his home constituency Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, Singh acknowledged the government's inability to provide jobs for everyone, thus advocating for innovative employment alternatives.
The minister urged the collective focus on national development projects, transcending political biases. Stressing the importance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development initiatives, he stated that these projects are designed for public benefit across all segments of society.
Singh also emphasized the promotion of local products like 'kaladi' and lavender under the 'One District One Product' and 'Aroma Mission' schemes, respectively. He called on the local Chamber of Commerce to assist in branding these products to boost their market acceptability and value.
