Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the creation of eight crore new jobs over the past three to four years, addressing criticism from opposition parties regarding unemployment. Citing a recent Reserve Bank of India report, Modi stated that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government continues to prioritize stability and growth.
During an event launching Rs 29,000 crore worth of projects in road, railway, and port sectors, Modi criticized opposition parties for spreading misinformation on job creation. He emphasized that Maharashtra's history, strong present, and future potential make it a pivotal player in India's development.
Modi reiterated his goal to make Maharashtra a global financial powerhouse and improve living standards through enhanced connectivity. Upcoming infrastructure projects in and around Mumbai, including an expanded metro rail network and new highways, aim to boost connectivity and safety. The transformation of railways and approval of a new port project are also set to benefit the region significantly.
