Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday cited a recent RBI report, which states that eight crore new jobs were created in the country over the past three to four years. He made this announcement at an event in Mumbai's Goregaon suburb while laying the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 29,000 crore in the road, railway, and port sectors.

"The RBI's detailed report on employment shows that around eight crore new jobs have been created in recent years, refuting the claims of those spreading misinformation about job scarcity," Modi said. He underscored the need for skill development and employment, asserting that his government is proactively working in this direction.

Modi further highlighted that the upcoming infrastructure projects will significantly improve Mumbai's connectivity with surrounding areas. He stated that investors are optimistic about the government's future and shared his vision of making Maharashtra a leading global financial powerhouse and transforming Mumbai into a global fintech hub.
