Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeeve announced that the state is prioritizing knowledge and innovation-driven industries to create jobs for the youth and attract investments. Speaking at the international Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) event, he emphasized the importance of advancing technological initiatives.

Highlighting government efforts to transform Kerala into a knowledge society and economy, Rajeeve noted that the Industrial Policy 2023 focuses on 22 priority sectors such as AI, Blockchain, Machine Learning, and Robotics. The policy aims to make Kerala an investment-friendly state by attracting diverse sector investments.

Rajeeve detailed initiatives like K-SWIFT, an online single window clearance mechanism, aimed at simplifying licensing for entrepreneurs. He also mentioned the approval of 22 permits for private industrial parks within eight months, marking significant progress. The minister underscored collaboration between industry and academia as a unique strength of the state.
