Delhi Metro commuters can now purchase mobile-based QR tickets on Amazon Pay, following a new partnership between DMRC and the online payment platform, officials announced on Thursday.

This innovative solution promises a quick, contactless, and hassle-free experience for the millions of daily users, revolutionizing the way people commute in the national capital. To access this facility, customers simply need to click on the Delhi Metro QR ticket option under the Amazon Pay tab, select the 'from' and 'to' stations, complete the payment, and receive a mobile QR ticket instantly.

At metro stations, commuters just have to hold their smartphones in front of the QR code scanner at the automatic fare collection (AFC) gates for both entry and exit. "Partnering with Amazon Pay for QR ticketing will make daily journeys more efficient and enjoyable, reducing paper waste and supporting our sustainability efforts," said DMRC MD Vikas Kumar.
