Over 350 domestic players and foreign buyers from more than 50 nations are gearing up to participate in the much-anticipated garment fair, the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) announced on Sunday. The event, starting June 25, aims to bolster India's garment export sector.
The prestigious fair will be inaugurated by Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh at the new Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, Dwarka. AEPC Chairman Sudhir Sekhri noted a 10 percent rise in garment exports in May, attributing the uptick to increased global demand.
AEPC Secretary General Mithileshwar Thakur emphasized that the India International Garment Fair (IIGF) offers a unique marketing platform for micro, small, and medium exporters, showcasing India's latest trends and diverse offerings to an international audience.
