Russian Railways said on Monday that freight rail shipments to Finland had been halted as of Saturday, after Finland's national railway operator VR Group said it would not accept freight trains because of economic sanctions.
The Russian rail company added in a statement on messaging app Telegram that it was in talks with China about sending additional freight trains there.
