Indian Premier League has come to its last leg and the season has been phenomenal with some breathtaking performances and some nail-biting thrillers.
At the start of the tournament, Kings XI Punjab looked promising with four back to back wins and amazing opening partnerships Chris Gayle and KL Rahul. Ashwin's lad just missed the bus with 12 points and a poor net run rate. Defending champions Mumbai Indians had a disastrous start to the campaign with a string of losses but like every year they recovered well with four back to back wins and were very close to qualifying for the playoffs. Royal Challengers Bangalore had nothing to cheer about except some breathtaking batting and a superman catch by Ab De Villiers.
Rajasthan Royals were like dark horses as they had a mixed campaign but eventually qualified for the playoffs. Kolkata Knight Riders managed to turn things around for Dinesh Karthik and Co as they also made their place in the final four.
Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have been the consistent performers for the season as they see themselves at the top of the points table. They have defended small totals and backed themselves to chase big totals.
It will be interesting to see which team emerges out to be the ultimate champion.
