The Italian state will have to take over the country's motorways if companies who have concessions are not able to do the job properly, deputy prime minister Luigi Di Maio said on Thursday.
Di Maio, speaking on Italian radio two days after a bridge collapse killed at least 38 people in northern Genoa, also said the concessionary should have invested more insecurity instead of being concerned about dividends.
