Telegram is rolling out a new update that brings a powerful new editor for users to quickly create their own stickers and entire sticker sets, all without leaving the app.

To make a sticker, you can take any photo and add text, drawings or animated stickers, emojis and GIFs that exist on the platform. You can cut out objects and even remove the background with a single tap. Additionally, you can manually erase and restore parts of your photo or add an outline for a classic sticker look.

Follow these steps to create your own stickers:

  • Open the sticker panel from your input field in any chat
  • Tap the inviting (+) button
  • Send the sticker
  • Or create a sticker set so that friends can reuse your cut-out cats in their chats.

To add a sticker to a set, simply select the emojis that describe its emotion. Telegram will suggest you emoji based on your image - like a cat, dog, or car - using artificial intelligence (AI). You can add any existing stickers to your custom sets.

You can also share your sticker sets, just send someone one of the stickers and they can tap it to add the whole set, with each having its unique t.me link.

Telegram promises to roll out 16 more new features later this month.
