OnePlus Nord CE 2 gets March 2024 Android security patch

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 has started receiving the March 2024 Android security patch with a new update, labelled OxygenOS 13 F.53, in India. In addition to bumping up the Android security patch, this update removes the Background stream feature in the Smart Sidebar.

"As always, this OTA will be incremental. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we'll begin a broader rollout in a few days," OnePlus said.

You can check for this update manually by navigating to the phone's Settings > System > System Updates.

OnePlus Nord CE 2: Specifications

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 boasts a 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED screen that offers a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 CPU.

In terms of memory, users can choose between 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and, for storage, the device offers 128GB of UFS2.2 storage.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery, which is split into dual-cell batteries of 2,250mAh each and supports 65W SUPERVOOC charging technology.

The main camera on the back is a 64MP sensor, which is accompanied by an 8MP Ultra Wide Camera and a 2MP Macro Lens. The front of the device houses a 16MP Sony IMX471 camera, ideal for selfies and video calls.

The handset is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor for quick biometric authentication.
