BJP leader and grandson of former PM PV Narasimha Rao, NV Subhash expressed happiness on meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that PM Modi, just like Rao, has the mindset of nation first and thanked him for conferring Bharat Ratna on ex-PM. Former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao's family met PM Narednra Modi in Hyderabad on Tuesday and expressed gratitude for conferring the Bharat Ratna to the former Prime Minister.
Rao's family also discussed a wide range of topics like culture, and India's development strides, among others. NV Subhash said, "We were very happy when PM Modi called all the members of the family of former PM PV Narasimha Rao, after conferring the Bharat Ratna to PV Narasimha Rao. Yesterday, all our family members met PM Modi. It was a great occasion and a wide range of discussions took place. The type of discussions we had, I felt PM Modi was like my grandfather and we never felt that there was a difference between Narasimha Rao and PM Modi. We discussed not only political issues but also discussed science, technology, health and education for about 30-45 mins."
He further said that PM Narendra Modi has recognised people from different walks of life and different political parties who have made an impact, especially on the downtrodden. "PV Narasimha Rao is instrumental in bringing the Land-Ceiling Act. It was a bold decision. When we compare him to PM Modi, both have done much for the country instead of the family members. Both have the same mindset of nation-first. Narasimha Rao brought economic liberalisation and devaluation of the rupee, and PM Modi brought demonetization of the rupee. Both have the same thought process," he added. (ANI)
