5T Chairman and BJD leader V K Pandian on Thursday commenced the election campaign from Koraput Lok Sabha Constituency. While addressing Dasmantpur Block of Laxmipur Assembly Constituency, BJD leader V K Pandian said, "So many developmental works have been done in the Laxmipur area. There was a demand for the establishment of government colleges at Badhugaon and Narayanpatna, which was fulfilled by our Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik."

He further stated, "Two government colleges have been approved and the institutes will start this year. Chief Minister has also approved Rs 30 lakh for Jagannath temple. After witnessing the developmental works, some people have sleepless nights." Without naming any opposition party, Pandian lashed out saying, "They will come to you during elections and make tall claims and sweet talks. However, once the election is over, you will not be able to see them again. They will not be there even if you search for them."

Pandian further revealed that he has visited the Laxmipur area twice within the last six months on the instruction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. "About 70 to 80 per cent of the grievances that were received during the visits have been fulfilled while the remaining will also be addressed soon," he assured the public, stating, "This is Naveen Patnaik's guarantee and conch symbol's guarantee."

He highlighted, "This is time for dual 'sankho' (conch), one for MP and the other for MLA. One vote for Koraput Lok Sabha candidate Kaushalya Hikaka, and another vote for Laxmipur Assembly Candidate Pravu Jani." It is noteworthy that the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held simultaneously in Odisha in four phases, starting from Phase One on May 13, Phase Two on May 20, Phase Three on May 25 and the final Phase on June 1. The results will be announced on June 4. (ANI)
