The United States is deeply troubled by actions taken against those protesting against a draft law in Georgia and the government should change its course, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said on Thursday.
Miller told a regular news briefing the U.S. was aware of increased reports of harassment and physical assault of civil society and opposition activists in Georgia. He said the U.S. would like to continue to work collaboratively with the Georgian government but it needs to change course.
