Russia says it takes over village in Ukraine's Donetsk region

Russian forces have taken control of the village of Novomykhailivka 40 kilometres southwest of the Ukrainian city of Donetsk, Russia's defence ministry said on Monday.

Ukraine' General Staff said in its regular morning report on Monday that Kyiv forces continued to hold back Russian attempts to advance near the village.
